Pizza was limp wet and bland. Our server recommended the pig and fig pizza, what a disappointment for $28, it tasted like nothing. The margharita pizza $25 had flavor but was wet and limp..the toppings were non-existent. Not very impressed! Mezz appetizer pretty good $24 pretty spicy spread with no warning. The salad was delicious beet and apple. $17 A dozen and a half oysters $63 salty and all had bits of broken shell. Over all I was surprised at the poor quality of food for $200 for 3 of us with drinks. The place has such a nice atmosphere but expensive low quality food. To bad! So the restaurant contacted me after my review? They did not defend their food, they did not apologize for anything, they did NOT offer any restitution for the lousy EXPENSIVE meal or even ask for my party to come back and try them again? MY ADVICE IS SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT EAT AT ACRE! THERE ARE OTHER RESTAURANTS WHO CARE ABOUT QUALITY OF FOOD AND THEIR GUESTS. AS A PERSON WHO WORKED IN FOOD SERVICE FOR 45 YEARS I'D BE ASHAMED TO SERVE SUCH LOW GRADE FOOD AND HAVE MANAGEMENT WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT THEY DO. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

We had an absolutely amazing experience and cannot wait to return. It's my new favorite restaurant in the Berkeley area, we came in for a college grad celebration and they were so accommodating with a large group and changes to our reservation, and they wrote all 6 of the girls handwritten cards. It was SO special and the food and wine were absolutely incredible and so fresh. Will absolutely return, thank you so much for the best night to celebrate our graduation.

What a PERFECT New Year’s Eve celebration. I took myself out to dinner alone and I was seriously convinced no one was possibly having as great as a night as I was lol! The drinks, the food, the atmosphere…absolutely perfect every single time, but especially tonight. I have to mention, I was so impressed when my bartender must have noticed me babysitting my drink and at some point just poured it into a new chilled glass. No one’s ever done that. Top tier service. The live band was truly the cherry on top. And might I add… they poured complimentary glasses of celebratory champagne for the whole restaurant. I felt spoiled! Can’t wait to come back.

The host went out of his way to accommodate us when we arrived 30 minutes before our reservation. We sat at a table in the bar area and our bartender/waiter was attentive and professional. The fried olives were excellent but brussels sprouts were no better or worse than any other establishment. My Caesar was outstanding--you could taste the anchovies and the twist to use different greens and feta really worked. K's jumbo shrimp lived up to it's name and he liked the arugula and bean mix it came on. Overall a pleasure to dine there.

We had a good time here. The cocktails were tasty and the food was pretty ok. Wife liked her fish entree and the olives appetizer. I found my burger (and the bun) to be a little dry and not especially flavorful but not terrible. I enjoyed the ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, it was one of those surprisingly good combinations.
